UsYoung Carers Southern Tasmania Terms and Conditions Access to and use of the Young Carers Southern Tasmania website, www.youngcarersouthtas.com.au, is provided by Community Based Support South Inc (CBS), auspicing the Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre in Southern Tasmania, under the following conditions: If you are under 25 years of age, your parents or guardian accept these terms and conditions on the execution of parental consent that is required for you to join the Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre’s Young Carer Program and to access the site. CBS reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. The website Young Carers Southern Tasmania is an online service offering information, counselling and user generated content for people under 25 years of age who are major providers of care for a relative or friend who is frail aged, has a mental illness, disability or a severe mental or physical condition, or alcohol or drug dependency. The young carer must be enrolled in primary, secondary or senior secondary school and their caring role impacting on their ability to complete their studies. The website contains information relevant to Southern Tasmania only, and membership is available only to young carers living in the Southern Tasmania area, defined within the guidelines under which CBS operates. You are responsible for gaining access to the site and doing so may involve third party fees, such as an internet service provider, which you are responsible for. You must also provide all the equipment necessary to access the site. Registering To register with the Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre’s Young Carers program, you must provide us with personal information in respect of which you have certain rights. By using the Young Carers Southern Tasmania website, you grant CBS consent to use your personal information in accordance with the Young Carers Southern Tasmania privacy policy and acknowledge that these terms and conditions should be read in conjunction with the privacy policy. No registration will be granted without a prior assessment of the caring role by a Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre coordinator. CBS reserves to right to refuse registration to the Young Carer program and the Young Carers Southern Tasmania website where it sees fit. Termination You agree that CBS may, under certain circumstances and without prior notice, immediately terminate your access to the Young Carers Southern Tasmania website. Cause for such termination include but are not be limited to: (a) breaches or violations of these terms and conditions, or other incorporated agreements or guidelines, (b) requests by law enforcement or other government agencies, (c) a request by you, (d) discontinuance or significant material modification to the website, (e) unexpected technical or security issues or problems, (f) extended periods of account inactivity, and/or (g) engagement by you in activities which CBS deems in its sole discretion to be inappropriate, fraudulent or illegal. Termination of your account includes removal of access to all of the website’s member services and content. Further, you agree that all terminations shall be made under the sole discretion of CBS and that CBS shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination of your membership. User Generated Content The Young Carers Southern Tasmania website may contain material that is created and electronically submitted by users of the site, including you. CBS may monitor or exercise editorial control over any user generated content and we reserve the right but not the obligation to access or examine any user generated content. CBS will remove any user generated content which we consider, in our sole discretion, to be incompatible with any CBS or Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre policy. Where you submit any contribution to this site, you grant by such submission to CBS a license to use, reproduce, delete, modify, adapt, publish, transmit, or translate, any such work, and you acknowledge that other users may access that information and that CBS is therefore not responsible for the privacy or security of any such information. You should not submit any information which might make you feel uncomfortable if it was known by people you do not know. You warrant that the material you contribute is not confidential to or owned by another person and that the receipt of the material by CBS is not illegal and will not expose CBS to any civil or criminal liability. You agree not to electronically transmit any file, data, information, software, material or routine that interferes or is likely to interfere with any person's use of this site. You also agree not to submit any content that is abusive, defamatory, libellous, pornographic in nature, which publically identifies another person or is likely to cause offence to any reasonable person. CBS reserves the right to determine what may be likely to identify another person, or what may be considered offensive by a reasonable person. By accepting the terms and conditions, your parents and you indemnify CBS against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by CBS as a result of your breach of the above warranty or your use of the site. You and your parents acknowledge and agree that: (a) CBS may remove material submitted by you in accordance with any guidelines produced by CBS from time to time, (b) CBS has no responsibility or liability for the deletion or failure to store any communications or other content maintained or transmitted on the site, (c) CBS in its sole discretion and with or without notice may vary the site or any part of the site and modify this site and the services available on it. Research and Evaluation CBS is committed to ensure that the Young Carers Southern Tasmania website meets the needs of the users. From time to time, we may undertake some research and evaluation activities with registered users to gain feedback and to better understand their needs. Registered users may opt not to participate, or withdraw from participating in these activities at any time. This will not affect their relationship with CBS or their use and access to the website. The findings from these research and evaluation activities may be presented in reports, conference papers or published in journals or media releases, however users’ names will not be disclosed . If CBS seeks registered users to assist in media releases or conference presentations, additional consent will be gained from parents of individuals aged under 18 years or from each individual aged over 18 years. Sharing Information Any information collected by Community Based Support on the Young Carers Southern Tasmania website may be shared among CBS staff, its partners and service providers, where necessary and within the boundaries defined in the Young Carers Southern Tasmania privacy statement.
