If you’re struggling to get your homework done – or just struggling to even get to school – the Young Carer Program can help.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics found that of all Young Carers aged 15-25 years old only 4% are still in school, compared to 23% of the general population for this age group. Failing or dropping out of school will have a major impact on their lives.
We’re here to make sure you can get through your primary, secondary or senior secondary education. As well as giving you the time you need to get your schoolwork done, we can also make things easier by:

  • Booking one-on-one sessions with a professional tutor
  • Talking to your teachers and principal on your behalf, if you want
  • Organising extra in home support for the people you care for to give you more time for school

And if you are a registered Young Carer this will not cost you a thing.

If you are a parent, teacher or an adult who knows a Young Carer, you can help. Young Carers often don’t know they are Carers, don’t want to talk or just don’t know that assistance is available. It’s up to the adults in their life to help. Just contact us for free, confidential advice.
